PlanTracer
PlanTracer is an application for AutoCAD®, AutoCAD® Architecture designed to convert 2D floor and building plan drawings into intelligent models automatically or semi-automatically. These models are suitable for immediate use in AEC or Facilities Management (FM) applications.
PlanTracer enables you to convert simple graphics of source floor plans into objects such as walls, columns, windows, doors, etc. The program can process any 2D floor plan loaded in AutoCAD®, AutoCAD® Architecture. You can use DWG/DXF files or scanned raster drawings.
From paper to BIM

PlanTracer 5.0 for AutoCAD® designed to be a graphical front-end to Facilities Management solutions. PlanTracer delivers advanced tools for floor plan drawing and editing. Its unique toolset also includes automatic and semi-automatic conversion of input such as 2D CAD drawings or raster floor and building plans into intelligent models. PlanTracer will recognize a floor plan, extract FM data and create Intelligent Objects from vector or raster drawings.
PlanTracer 1.5 for AutoCAD® Architecture is the first solution on the market for that converts floor and building plans into an intellectual model automatically or semi-automatically. The conversion of 2D-drawings into an intellectual model is based on unique algorithms that enable recognition of arbitrary objects by searching and recognizing patterns in 2D plans.
