Applications
The IDEAL/Contex Puma HS 36" Basic Color
Scanner is a cost-effective scanner with an
embedded copying and scanning system in the
hardware. There is an easy-to use iJET Panel to
control the copying and scanning operations. The
iJET Panel contains an elaborate menu system
that enables setup and activation of full
scan-to-print and scan-to-file options directly
from the scanner. This scanner is designed for
the CAD, GIS, Reprographics, Sign Shops, Copy
Shop, POP and Display markets that handle large
format color graphics. The IDEAL/Contex Puma HS
36" Basic Color Scanner can be used for
color classification for vectorization, storage,
retrieval, conversion to CAD, and scan-to-print.
These scanners can efficiently rasterize
drawings up to 36” wide (E-Size) by any length
on media up to 0.6” thick. This scanner
provides one-touch copy to USB printer without a
PC. The IDEAL/Contex Puma HS 36" Basic
Color Scanner can be used stand-alone or as an
integrated component of a customized solution.
The IDEAL/Contex Puma HS 36" Basic Color
scanner can be upgraded to a Plus model scanner
with the addition of a SmartCard for increased
speed and resolution.
Scanning Superiority
The IDEAL/Contex Puma HS 36" Basic Color
Scanner creates images in photo realistic color,
high quality gray scale, and crisp, clear black
and white. Color is captured at 48 bits for
maximum color precision, passing the best 24
bits of color data to the computer. The IDEAL/Contex
Puma HS 36" Basic Scanner is an accurate,
two-dimensional sampling device; document motion
is one axis and electronic scan of the Charge
Couple Device (CCD) semiconductor cameras is the
other. They are front-loading, and scan with
unparalleled accuracy, +/- 0.1% in both the X
and Y-axis to ensure the most accurate scan
possible. The IDEAL/Contex Puma HS 36"
Basic Scanner has iJET technology, embedded
copying and scanning system in the hardware. The
iJET technology incorporates the scanner's Dual
2-D Adaptive Enhancement features with Area
Diffusion Logic and Error Diffusion Half-toning
which allows documents containing mixed
photographic and line-art (including text) areas
to be captured with greater detail. This new
scanner incorporate the 3C Auto-Maintenance
system that keeps the cameras perfectly aligned,
adjusted, and calibrated for optimal image
quality. The 3C Auto-Maintenance system aligns
and stitches the cameras to a fraction of a
pixel giving the highest wide format image
precision available.
Copying Made Easy
Connect the IDEAL/Contex Puma HS 36"
scanner with a large format printer and you get
the perfect large format color and monochrome
digital copier. From the iJET Panel you can set
the quality, lightness, number of copies,
reduce/enlarge the copy without the use of a PC
or software. The iJET Panel also contains
advanced settings for special jobs or for
setting company defaults. With the scanner’s
high precision of details and colors, users can
enlarge their creations to full display sizes
without losing any quality. The IDEAL/Contex
Puma HS 36" Basic Color Scanner has
variable resolution settings from 50 to 1200
dpi, selectable in one dpi increments to match
user requirements.
Accuracy Lens Enhancement Technology
The IDEAL/Contex Puma HS 36" Basic Scanner
uses Accuracy Lens Enhancement Technology (ALE)
that electronically maintains 0.1% +/- 1 pixel
precision across any two points of the scan line
thus exceeding even the most rigid requirements.
With these scanner there is a very high grade of
precision stability in the scanned image.
Connect to PC for Indexing and Editing
The IDEAL/Contex Puma HS 36" Basic Scanner
supports color and monochrome scanning
applications. IDEAL’s ScanOS provides
single-field indexing for every document
scanned, and automatically generates the
filename, time & date, and the computer
operator’s name to the database record. ScanOS stores drawings and index data in an ODBC
compliant archive in many formats including PDF,
TIFF, JPEG, and BMP. Edit drawings in raster
with the same ease as editing a CAD file using WiseImage,
an optional intelligent raster editing software
package from IDEAL. WiseImage is a
powerful drawing editor that performs raster to
vector conversion and OCR.
Enterprise Wide Sharing
Provide instant network access of scanned
drawings with IDEAL’s ArchiveCenter for
Workgroups. Archive large format drawings on
a company intranet or a secure, password
protected internet with IDEAL’s ArchiveCenter
for the Enterprise. Search, retrieve, view,
and print large format drawings using only a
standard web browser. Both software applications
require a PC to be connected to the IDEAL/Contex
PUMA G600 iJET Basic Color Scanner.
ArchiveCenter can be upgraded to IDEAL's
Online PlanRoom for bid management, project
management, and ordering drawings.
